T: The Prologue: 30 men, following the pilgrimage. all for a spiritual finding, they were all staying at an inn. Each Individual is from a different social status. There was an explanation of each individuals background. There was "some nine and twenty in a company" and the narrator, all about to head to canterbury. They all came to the decision that they would travel to Canterbury together. EX: " she was all sediment and tender heart/ her vail was gathered in a seemingly way/ her nose was elegant, her eyes glassy grey"(155-158) This is a great example of the details that Chaucer went into for each persons description. T: I wonder how these people would have gotten along in Reality? Because of the time period would they have actually put aside their differences, and difference social status? Y: I think this text of the prologue, is that even back then, the people were still judged, about what they wore, and their status, and i feel as if this text is going to show no matter where you come from, there can still be a connection.
