  1. T-I read about the lack of faires and about the queen and views on women.
EX- "A man can win us best with flattery." (line 108 page 138)
T- how is it that womens desires have not changed since back in the day?
Y- this relates to me because i am a girl and i acknowledge the fact that the best way to get a girl is by flattering her.

  2. I read that a women had a very difficult time keeping a secret about her husbands ears. "Ah! My heart's well again, the secret's out!" (153). Why was it so difficult for his wife to keep the secret. It relates to me because people ask me to keep secrets that are very difficult to keep.

  3. T:This part of the wife of baths tale is explaining the way women were like, and wanted, especially the queen.
EX: Some "gorgeous clothes' and others 'fun in bed' This is funny to me because these things women want are still prevalent. I mean this was written so long ago, that this is still prevalent.
T: I wonder how this was actually like back then, like how women are?
Y: This makes me laugh, that women can have such high expectations of men.

  4. T: I read about the journey of a night attemepting to find out what women want most, which is impossible.
EX:"But all the same henever touched a coast, Counrty or town in which there seemed to be Any two people willing to agree." (98-99)
T: Why is he wasting his time?
Y: This relates to me because i have also wasted time trying to figure out what women want.

  5. T- A woman had a hard time keeping a secret about how her husband has donkey ears.
EX- To thee alone I tell it: it appears/My husband has a pair of ass's ears!
T- Why couldn't the woman keep the secret?
Y-It relates to me because sometimes it is hard to keep secrets.

  6. A knight was given one year and a day to figure out what women loved best but the knight did not succeed. "This knight that I am telling you about Perceived at last he would never find out What it could be that women loved the best. Faint was the soul within his sorrowful breast, As home he went, he dared no longer to stay; His year was up and now it was the day.(159-164)" I wonder why he was trying to understand what women loved best? This relates to me because women are complex and sometimes it is hard to read what they're feeling and why they feel like that.

  7. T: This reading is about the knight who tries to find the answer of what women most desire.
EX: "What thing it is that women most desire;/ If you could tell me I would pay your hire'" (183-184)
T: How is the knight supposed to find the answer?
Y: This story so far has kind of been funny because of Chaucer's humor and presentation.

  8. T: This reading was very interesting a knights quest to find out what women truly love or want for that matter. With this great mystery the Knight fails to find what he is looking for.
Ex: Wommen desiren to have sovereignty.
T:The Knight should know already that all these women want is wealth and freedom from men.
Y: This Story is interesting i found how because it relates to the age old question that no man can answer is what moment really want

  9. I read further into the tale of Author the night and learned about the story of Midas. I wonder if the Knight will complete his quest and escape death by using the old women? "But lo! Before ha came to where they were/Dancers and dance all vanished into air!"{171-172}. The knight came across some type of witch craft or spiritual event that I found interesting. The reading made me feel a seance of irony brewing in the pages ahead, because i don't think the knight can touch what women really want.

  10. A knight was given a year and a day to find out what women want. To add to this pressure, his life was on the line. The knight said, "I am as good as dead if I can't say/ What thing it is that women most desire." How can any women expect a guy to find out what they most desire? This relates to todays world because men battle this same problem. Women want something special, but make us find out what that is...its hard. Haha

  11. T:The ultimate goal of finding out what women desire; the night attempted to solve the secret of the ages and failed.
Ex: "Some said that women wanted wealth and treasure." Its funny because even back in the day there are gold-diggers.
T: Why couldn't the Knight think rationally and realize that he will never find the secret or get a straight answer?
Y:I myself have tired to find the untold secret and 17 years in I'm still lost...
Y: I felt i could relate being in his shoes, because no man knows the secret, in fact we will never know.

  12. T- I read about a wife who couldn't keep her husbands donkey wars a secret.
EX- "And so you see, although we may hold fast/ A little while, it must come out at last/ We can't keep secrets[...]"
T- Why would having donket ears be that bad that he had to hide them from everyone?
Y- I feel like I would have embraced my donkey ears and told everyone that I was some king so I was worshiped.
